What comes next?

With Through different Eyes launched I have been contemplating my next project and have three possibilities. There are two SF novels (which might be series) and another WW2 novel. Please understand that these are working titles and everything is subject to change!

Here’s some information about the first of the three …

Mossie Girl

Fifteen-year-old Jackie (known as Jack) trains as a draftsperson and becomes part of the team that creates the DH98 Mosquito (the Wooden Wonder). Her (older) brother, Hugh, is a Spitfire pilot who survives the Battle of Britain and is transferred to fly the Mosquito on operations. Jackies’ father runs a small furniture factory that becomes a part of the remote fabrication system for the Mosquito.

Jackie’s mother died when Jackie was seven years old. When Coventry is bombed in November 1940, aunt Joan – her mother’s sister – turns up homeless on their doorstep. Jackie has never heard mention of Joan and there is tension between Joan, Jackie’s father and Hugh. Eventually. Jackie learns that Joan was a supporter of Oswald Mosley’s Blackshirts – the British Fascist party and Jackie starts to have suspicious about her loyalties.
